Tech giant Google is giving Filipino students and universities free access to its Gemini Pro plan for 12 months, offering advanced AI tools and expanded cloud storage to support learning and research.

The offer includes access to Google’s latest AI models such as Gemini 2.5 Pro and DeepResearch, which can help students summarize readings, analyze complex topics, and generate study materials.
Subscribers to the free plan will also receive 2TB of cloud storage, allowing them to back up research papers, projects, and notes. A new AI Mode in Google Search lets users upload and query PDFs or videos to extract key points and summaries.
The Gemini Pro plan integrates with learning tools like Gemini and NotebookLM, both enhanced with new features. Gemini now allows students to create flashcards, study guides, and interactive learning sessions from their own notes, while Veo 3 Fast can generate custom videos for presentations or projects.
Meanwhile, NotebookLM introduces Featured Notebooks and Video Overviews, designed to help learners organize and connect information across multiple sources. The platform is also now accessible to users under 18, expanding research support to high school students.
