Adobe Photoshop (beta) now available for Android

Adobe has officially rolled out the beta version of its Photoshop app for Android devices.

Adobe has officially rolled out the beta version of its Photoshop app for Android devices, following its earlier release on iOS. The app is currently free to download on Google Play as part of its beta phase.

Adobe Photoshop Mobile

To use the app, you’ll need a device running Android 11 or later, with at least 6GB of RAM. Adobe recommends having 8GB for smoother performance. Despite being a mobile version, it includes many of the same tools found on the desktop version of Photoshop.

Users can work with layers and masks, make selections using tools like Object Select and Magic Wand, and clean up images with features such as the Spot Healing Brush and Clone Stamp.

The app also integrates Adobe’s Firefly-powered generative AI, allowing users to add or transform image elements using Generative Fill. There’s also Tap Select for quick edits, and a collection of free Adobe Stock assets to enhance creative projects.

All features in the Android beta are available at no cost (for now), with Adobe stating that more updates and capabilities will be added in the coming months.

Head over to Google Play Store to download and try the new Adobe Photoshop mobile app.
