PLDT Enterprise announced on Monday, August 11 it had tied up with Starlink and become its official reseller in the country.
While Starlink has been sold in the country since 2023, PLDT becomes the first Philippine telecommunications company to resell Starlink connectivity as part of its offerings.
PLDT Enterprise, in a statement, said that by leveraging Starlink’s Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite technology, the company hopes to “support businesses in underserved and hard-to-reach locations.” It added that Starlink’s integration into its internet service offerings enhances its robustness when it comes to end-to-end connectivity.
“Through the integration of Starlink, we are extending the reach and resilience of our connectivity solutions, especially in areas where traditional infrastructure is limited,” Mitch Locsin, first vice president and head of enterprise core business at PLDT and Smart, said of the new initiative.
“This advancement reinforces our dedication to empowering enterprises to operate with greater agility, drive innovation, and accelerate their digital transformation, wherever they are in the country,” Locsin added.
Starlink’s product pages say the company has the largest constellation of satellites in low earth orbit.
Nico Alcoseba, first vice president and head of product management and global capacity strategy at PLDT Enterprise, said “Starlink adds another layer of reliability to our connectivity solutions. Since it can route traffic to other gateways found in other locations, it can keep businesses connected even during local terrestrial outages.”

Meanwhile, Starlink’s business page also has pricing out for its own offering, with monthly pricing starting at P1,950 for 50GB of local priority data, and up to P141,800 for a global priority 2TB data connection. These prices do not include add-ons for extra data allocations.
