Riot Games is launching a dedicated VALORANT server in Manila on August 14, providing Filipino players with improved ping and more stable matches.
Until now, most players in the Philippines connected to Singapore or Hong Kong servers, often facing latency of 50 to 70 milliseconds and spikes during busy hours. The new Manila server is expected to reduce ping by 20 to 40ms, improving responsiveness for both casual and competitive games.
Local players will see quicker shot registration, smoother movement, and less lag. Matchmaking will now prioritize nearby opponents, making ranked games more balanced and skill-based.
Riot will run a short test on August 13 before going live. Players can choose the Manila server manually in settings, or let the game auto-connect based on location.
