Facebook and Instagram offering paid subscription for no ads

Meta has start rolling out a subscription for users to not receive ads on Facebook and Instagram.

The subscription for no ads will go for EUR 2.99 per month on the web while on iOS and Android, it is priced at EUR 3.99 per month for the first Meta account.

“It is more expensive to subscribe on iOS and Android because of the fees that Apple and Google charge through their respective purchasing policies,” Meta states.

Currently, the rollout for this subscription is starting in the UK and EU, but Meta has reported that they plan on releasing this to other regions soon.
