Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) has introduced the all-new Toyota ATIV, a new entry in the subcompact sedan segment that includes the company’s most affordable hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) so far.
The ATIV joins the Toyota Vios in the category, offering buyers another option in the entry-level passenger car market. It is designed to meet the needs of professionals, young families, and first-time car owners looking for a balance of efficiency, technology, and reliability.
Elijah Sue Marcial, TMP first vice president for vehicle sales operations, said the ATIV continues Toyota’s efforts to make electrified mobility accessible to more Filipinos.
“We know choosing your first car, and an electrified model at that, can be a bold decision, so the ATIV makes it simple by offering hybrid features alongside reliability, safety, and ease of ownership,’” Marcial said.
The all-new ATIV lineup includes both hybrid and gasoline engine variants. The 1.5 HEV CVT model is powered by a four-cylinder hybrid electric engine that produces a combined output of 111 horsepower.
Other variants come with 1.3-liter or 1.5-liter gasoline engines, paired with either a continuously variable transmission (CVT) or manual transmission.
The ATIV features a fastback-style silhouette with LED headlamps and, for the hybrid variant, rear sequential turn signals. Inside, the vehicle offers leather or fabric seats depending on the trim, a 7-inch digital display, and up to a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It seats five and measures 4,425 mm long and 1,740 mm wide, designed for city maneuverability and comfort.
The hybrid variant comes with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), which includes Pre-Collision System, Automatic High Beam, Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Departure Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control.
All variants are equipped with multiple airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with Brake Assist, Vehicle
Stability Control, Blind Spot Monitor, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

- Push Start and Smart Entry
- Wireless Charger (HEV)
- Panoramic View Monitor (HEV and G CVT variants)
- Various wheel and tire configurations depending on the model
