BPI expands cash-in options for VYBE e-wallet via Pay&Go network

The Bank of the Philippine Islands has deepened its partnership with Pay&Go to allow users of VYBE by BPI, the bank’s digital wallet offering, to top up their wallets via Pay&Go kiosks and partner outlets across the Philippines.

BPI Vybe e-wallet App

This move broadens the ways consumers can load funds into their VYBE e-wallet, making the service more accessible for Filipinos, especially those who may not hold a full-service bank account. It supports a broader push toward financial inclusion by linking digital payment access with retail networks.

Under the expanded arrangement, VYBE users can now cash in funds at any of Pay&Go 3,400 kiosks, including supermarkets, convenience stores, and drug stores, to widen access beyond traditional banking channels.

BPI’s announcement notes that the initiative allows even non-BPI account holders to cash in to VYBE via Pay&Go’s network, thereby lowering barriers to digital wallet adoption.

In addition to this network expansion, BPI’s VYBE platform already supports cash-ins via its own app and linked BPI accounts, with no convenience fee for VYBE users.

For users, the steps to load money via BPI’s app remain simple — log in to the VYBE app, tap “Add Money,” choose the linked BPI account, enter the amount, verify via SMS one-time code, and submit.

The transaction limit for cash-ins via partner e-wallets remains at PHP 10,000 unless changed by the user in their account settings, with cash-in limits.

With this partnership, BPI is reinforcing its digital banking push and aligning with the regulatory focus on financial inclusion. The expanded infrastructure for cash-in may help more Filipinos participate in cashless transactions and reduce reliance on cash.

Will the rollout of the 3,400 partner outlets meet expectations for reach in rural and semi-urban areas?
